Help us Grow!
Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Food Donation Project at the Monastery Gardens.
We need dedicated people to plant, weed, water, feed and harvest in the open field garden and the two hi tunnels.
We need people to pack and deliver the vegetables to charitable agencies who feed the poor.
We need record keepers, writers, bookkeepers and recruiters to keep the program humming and growing.
We guarantee our volunteers fresh air, exercise, beauty and peace: all the things that money can't buy.
Please consider helping us build on last year's successful harvest of almost 13,000 pounds of good fresh vegetables. It took many hands to grow 2022's tons of produce and we'll need you again this year.
What better way to feed our community and nourish our own souls?
I hope you'll come help us
-- and bring a friend!
Believe in our mission? Donate!
Most importantly your time as a project volunteer.
We realize that not everyone can donate time.
We accept money, garden supplies, straw, garden tools, gas credit card, fire wood, etc.
It's a good feeling to know that you're making a difference in the lives of your hungry neighbors.
We need YOU for any amount of time you can spare!
